A receipt
for books completed and signed by Millard Fillmore, the New York lawyer
and politician who was elected Vice President in 1848 and became President
in July 1850 on the death of Zachary Taylor.
On this
partly printed form, Fillmore has written in abbreviated titles of the
two books he is evidently borrowing, "volumes 2 and 10 of Colonial
History." He has added the place and date, and has signed,
"Millard Fillmore."
The document
is in very good condition. $450.00
